O's top Tribe in slugfest

The Indians bats came up one run short Sunday in Baltimore in a Mother's Day slugfest that extended the Tribe's losing streak to five and gave the the O's the sweep. Jody Gerut's three hits extended his hitting streak to 12.

Miguel Tejada hit two two-run homers to lead the offense Sunday in a high-scoring affair with the Indians. Melvin Mora also homered for the Orioles. In a battle of bullpens, the Orioles managed to hold the lead late.
